As with every great idea this one was born in my mind while sitting on the toilet as one great meme once taught us! So the question is simple. If you combine all the horsepower figures of all the cars you've ever driven what will be the number?
I'll start first and please don't be shocked about how little the car number and the sum hp are.
Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI - 136 PS
Mercedes-Benz 190D 2.0 - 75 PS
Opel (Vauxhall) Corsa 1.2 - 85 PS
Mercedes-Benz E220 CDI - 143 PS
Total - 439 PS or 433 Bhp. :)
Let's see what your numbers are! :)

Yeah, I've owned more than 60 and driven a lot more than that. It's gonna take longer.
EDIT: Near as I can make it, 7,910.

my list of cars I've been insured on is short enough. Since I haven't owned a car outright until my Taurus. I'm not saying these numbers are correct, they definitely aren't accurate now because of upgrades and wear and tear.
2008 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3 liter - 315HP
2005 Ford Focus 2.0 liter - 130HP
1992 Mercury Sable GS 3.0 liter - 140HP
Total 1 - 585HP
I actually own the Capri and SHO Taurus, so they'll go down here. Haven't driven the Capri yet and the Taurus only around the block when I bought it.
1977 Mercury Capri Ghia 2.8 liter - 115HP ( that's stock 2.8 V6 with crap american heads. The European market ones made quite a bit more.)
1991 Ford Taurus SHO 3.0 liter - 220HP
Add all of them up and you get 900HP. And the pickup is more than a third of that.

Too many horsies to count. I'm sure I'm close to a million if you can count the numerous different cars that are the same model. . . But I'm not going to even bother because I have been behind the wheel of numerous different cars and I don't want to bother adding it all up if they don't count.

'92 Cherokee - 190hp

Lets see.
1. Golf Mk6 1.6 tdi - 105hp
2. Renault Clio 1.2 16v -75hp
3. Renault Twingo 1.2 8v -60ish hp
4. Ford Fiesta Mk6 1.25 - 75hp
In total 315. It would be a lot more if the law would let me drive anything that has more than 110hp. Till that happens i'm stuck with powerless cars. And in Europe cars are usually around 75 to 85hp for small segment and 105 or 110+ for medium sized cars.

I'm going to go with owned/my name is on the title for on this one, driven is an obscene 5 digit number.
1991 Buick Century - 140?
1996 Chevy C1500 - 250
2007 Chevy Trailblazer SS - conservatively saying 450 in the condition it was in when I had it
2005 Corvette - 400
1963 Ford CT-850 - 253
1493 across 5 vehicles, not a bad average.

I live in Bulgaria (which counts roughly as Europe) but we don't have such a law. I'm 20 years old but I even the car from my driving lessons was over 110 bhp and I have a schoolmate of mine who drives a 507bhp BMW M5 without a problem maybe a year now if not more.

Croatia here. Until you are 24 years old you count as a "young driver" and that means you can't drive anything over 80kW (most cars are 85. Warm hatches like Clio 1.6 16v 81kw, Civic 83 and so on..). The fine is around 150 euros for that.
Dumbest part of that law is that if you go to the driving school at the age of 24 with zero experience at driving you can get anything you want because you are no longer "young driver". Rich kids drive whatever they want, hell why not, if they can afford 330i, m3 or even hot hatches they have 150eur to pay here and then if they get caught.
I'm stuck with my 75hp fiesta for the next 4 years. ITS SOOO SLOW. I can't even get the 316i e46 because its 85kw.

Buy an old 190E 1.8 (I believe it has a version with 107 bhp which is precisely 80 kW) or an E30 316/318 or you can even buy a E21 315i but you'd be better of with a Moskvich 412 (which has 1 bhp more over the E21 315i with its "mighty" 75 horsepowers) :D I feel your pain though, I drove a 75 bhp diesel 190D and it was a good car but you were going nowhere fast enough. The fun part though was that you I drove that car with my right leg always to the floor :D

Not necessarily for any real distance, but these:
Vauxhall Corsa 1.2l - 73bhp
Alfa Romeo 156 2.5l - 187bhp
Alfa 156 2.4 JTD - 148bhp
Peugeot 106 1.1l - 59bhp
Honda Stream 2.0l - 153bhp x 2
BMW E36 325i - 189bhp
Jaguar XJ40 3.6l - 221bhp
Jaguar XJ40 4.0 - 223bhp
Maserati 228 - 246bhp
Porsche 914/6 - ~130bhp
Fiat X1/9 - 85bhp
Triumph Spitfire Mk4 - 61bhp
Peugeot 106 GTi - 118bhp
Toyota MR2 Mk2 - 168bhp
Lada Niva - 79bhp
MG TC - 54bhp
So all in all, 2347bhp. Not bad for a 23 year old :)
Sating that, if you need to have driven them for a reasonable time, it's only the V6 Alfa, BMW, one Jag, the 1.1l Peugeot, the MR2 and the one Honda which makes a grand total of 979bhp.

True. Tho there is not much to tune on 1.4. 1.6 yes but it's 88kw, but i have my hopes up as 1.6 was sold as a detuned version with 77kw in some places. So if Ford dealer can detune it just "for papers" then great. Those engines go to 130-140hp easily with kits from Mountune.

Not Enough! And I have owned a lot of cars :)
1986 Ford Mustang GT convertible (totaled) 200HP
1974 VW Beetle (rebuilt engine 2 times, do not know what happend to it since last break down) 48+HP was board out on the last rebuild, do I count each rebuild towards total?
1974 Mercedes 450slc (sold) 220hp? According to wiki
late 80's Chevy S10 (sold) 110-125HP
1991 Honda accord 4 door (sold) 130HP
1989 Mr2 turbo (junked) 218HP
1993 Mr2 g-limited (sold) 163HP
1991 Mr2 NA (still driving has over 200k miles on it) 130HP
2006 VW Jetta Wolfsburg (sold) 150HP
2011 Subaru outback sport (sold) 170HP
2006 Rav4 V6 Limited (still have) and the most powerful at 269HP
1808 Total HP, Wow more than I thought, and again still not enough!
Driven. well that would take way to long, and I can not recall all the cars I have driven. I would say a rough estimate would be 3x to 5x the total maybe?
